M-I-C... K-E-Y... M-O-U-S-E!!!

OMG I'm sooooooooo excited about this weekend!!! Tony and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 3. I can't believe how fast time went by! Anyway, to celebrate, we're going to the happiest place on earth... Disneyland! Since it's our 1 year wedding anniversary and it'll been 5 years (on August 14) since we got together, Tony said we should splurge a little. So I booked a little mini-vacation thru the Walt Disney Travel Company, which includes 2 nights stay, 2-day park hopper pass, character breakfast and premium dinner... our itinerary is as follows:

Friday

  • Tony picks me up from work at 5:00P and we drive up to Disney's Grand Californian, where we have a room with a view of the theme park.

  • Hang out at one of their many pools... maybe the Mickey-shaped one! Heehee!

  • Visit Downtown Disney

Saturday

Sunday

  • Character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen at 7:00A, where they will also serve the top layer of our wedding cake that we've kept in our freezer this past year!

  • Spend the day at Disneyland

  • Dinner at 6:30 at The Blue Bayou, the restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride... right where the ride first starts, next to the water. Tony and I have never eaten there, so we figured this was as good a time as any. =)

You're welcome to join in our fun at Downtown Disney tomorrow! Heehee... hope to see you there!

Computer, RIP

I haven't posted in awhile cuz my computer died. Not sure exactly what happened... only that whenever it boots up and it's about to load the desktop, the computer will reboot. Safe mode - same thing. Sucked. So I piggy-backed this hard drive onto another machine, copied my junk off, and re-formatted. Sucked. I hate hardware problems. At least it's back online now... but now I'm worried cuz I'm not sure what the problem was. =\

Random phrase of the week

MyWeirdFriend: "You crud-infested fascist brain-dead emaciated self-absorbed hog-humping shrew!!!"

Inspiration for that quote found at insults.net.

Diet + PMS = Potential Nightmare

Tony started on his Cabbage Soup Diet yesterday. He's planning on sticking to it until our PnH weekend, about 7 weeks from now. I wish him the best of luck, although I know he can do it once he sets his mind on it. I just need to remember to be very very patient and watch my temper, altho I'm more prone to blowing up now that I'm PMSing. =\ But as long as I keep all this in mind... we should be ok. =)

I know an old woman who swallowed a fly...

An Israeli woman swallowed a cockroach and right after it, down went a fork she used to try to fish the critter out of her throat.

Ugh... do I really need to say anything more about it? Read the full story here.

Online DVD Rental Services

I decided to join GreenCine and DVDBarn. Those companies offer a service similar to NetFlix - you pay a monthly fee, usually around $20, and then you create a list of movies you want to rent. As movies in your queue become available, they'll send it to you. Depends on your level of membership, but you can usually have 3 things out at a time. The movies(s) arrive with pre-paid envelopes for you to return it back in. Once you send it back, they send you the next ones on your list, if available. No late fees, no additional charges. Cool, huh?

Anyway, some of you may be wondering why I chose those particular companies instead of NetFlix? I wanted someplace where I could find anime and/or chinese movies, and both of the services I signed up for offer a better selection of those genres than NetFlix does. Ever since the Tower Video (a division of Tower Records) I used to go to closed down, I've been having a hard time finding a place with a decent selection of anime for rent. Hopefully these services will fill that void in my life. =)

P.S. If you should decided to subscribe to either service, please use the links above so I get credit. I'll be your friend for life! =)

[Thanks to Spemin for recommending GreenCine]
